- Who can benefit from it?

The Alexander Technique teaches us to function better in our daily lives, regardless of age or ability.  

 

- Do I need special clothing to attend classes?

No, just wear loose, comfortable clothes.

 

- How many lessons do I need?

This is a very difficult question to answer because we are all different and learn at different paces.  Nevertheless, I usually recommend new students to try a series of 10 lessons. Most people then know enough about the processes and the ideas to decide whether they want to go on or not.

 

 - Do I choose individual lessons? Or do I decide to take group lessons?

I prefer to give individual lessons but to get acquainted, you can start in a small group (max. 4-5 persons).

 

- How long does a lesson last?

An individual lesson takes about 45'.  

 

- Should I do exercises at home?

No, no exercises, but you must have the discipline to apply what you experience/learn in a lesson to your daily actions.

 

- Is it OK to study the Alexander Technique and do yoga, Pilates, or Tai Chi at the same time?

Yes, in fact learning the Alexander Technique can help you improve all the activities you already do.
